Privacy policy — GIF Comments

Effective date: 14 October 2026.

GIF Comments searches Tenor for GIFs and helps attach a selected GIF to a YouTube comment. It has no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising or tracking identifiers.

Data sent to external services

Tenor receives the search terms or Tenor links/IDs you enter, the selected locale, requests for GIF information and ratings, and requests for previews. Tenor may receive standard network information, including your IP address. Search requests from the extension omit cookies; previews use a no-referrer policy.

YouTube receives the comment text and selected Tenor GIF ID when you click its posting button or the posting shortcut. YouTube's own page supplies its existing session information and authorization. The extension modifies the outgoing comment request to attach the GIF and inspects the response to determine whether posting succeeded. It does not transmit YouTube authorization information to Tenor or to a developer server.

GIF lookup can also occur when you open the picker, use a quick reaction, paste a link or request another page. Rating verification occurs before posting when needed.

These services process requests under their own privacy policies. The extension has no control over their server retention or moderation decisions.

Local data

Favorites, recent confirmed GIFs, settings and draft backups are stored locally in the browser's extension storage. They are not uploaded to a developer server or synchronized to a developer account.

There are up to 300 favorites, 30 recent GIFs and 10 draft backups. Drafts are available for 24 hours; expired backups are removed when the extension's library is accessed or its popup is opened. Confirmed posting removes the associated backup. Other library data remains until you remove it or uninstall the extension. Local draft text may contain personal information you enter.

An exported favorites file contains GIF titles, IDs, preview links, dimensions and rating metadata. Export is initiated by you. You control any subsequent sharing of that file. Imported files are validated locally.

Controls

You can remove favorites, clear recent GIFs and delete drafts in the extension. You can revoke website permissions or uninstall the extension through browser settings. If necessary data transmission is not acceptable, do not use the related feature or uninstall the extension.

Расширение ищет GIF в Tenor и прикрепляет выбранную GIF к комментарию YouTube. У него нет сервера разработчика, аналитики, рекламы и идентификаторов отслеживания.

Tenor получает введённые запросы поиска, ссылки/ID GIF, локализацию, запросы информации/рейтинга и загрузки превью. Сервис может получать стандартные сетевые сведения, включая IP-адрес. Поисковые запросы расширения выполняются без cookies; превью загружаются без Referer. Обращения происходят при открытии выбора, поиске, быстрых реакциях, вставке ссылок, загрузке продолжения выдачи и проверке рейтинга перед отправкой.

YouTube получает текст комментария и выбранный ID GIF при нажатии отправки или сочетания клавиш. Авторизацию и сведения текущей сессии добавляет сама страница YouTube. Расширение изменяет запрос для прикрепления GIF и проверяет ответ сервера. Сведения авторизации YouTube не отправляются Tenor или серверу разработчика. Внешние сервисы обрабатывают запросы по собственным политикам; расширение не контролирует их сроки хранения и модерацию.

Избранное, недавние GIF, настройки и резервные черновики хранятся локально. Они не отправляются разработчику. Лимиты: 300 избранных, 30 недавних GIF и 10 черновиков. Черновики доступны 24 часа; истёкшие записи удаляются при обращении к библиотеке или открытии панели. Подтверждённая отправка удаляет соответствующую копию. Остальные данные сохраняются до удаления пользователем или удаления расширения. Черновик может содержать введённые пользователем личные сведения.

Экспорт избранного запускается пользователем; файл содержит сведения о GIF и не содержит черновики. Импорт проверяется локально. Распространение экспортированного файла контролирует пользователь.

Избранное можно удалить, историю и черновики — очистить. Доступ к сайтам можно отозвать в настройках браузера. Если необходимая передача данных неприемлема, не используйте соответствующую функцию или удалите расширение.
